<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover fitting device which smoothly operates during opening/closing a cover wrapping a card slot and does not impair the presentable appearance of the device. <P>SOLUTION: In the cover fitting device, the cover 21 which wraps the card slot 14 through which a memory card is inserted, is turnably fitted, to a sliding member 22 which is arranged near the card slot 14 in such a way as to allow the sliding of the member 22, through a shaft 23. Further, following the sliding operation of the sliding member 22, the cover 21 approaches to/leaves apart from the card slot 14 (an upper housing 7) together with the shaft 23.
