INFORMATION RETRIEVAL DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method that allow efficient retrieval by allowing easily setting retrieval items even if there are many retrieval items.

SOLUTION: Retrieval items on a plurality of levels are arranged on a jog-dial and inside the circumference thereof and the retrieval items are inputted according to the levels and the stopping position of the jog-dial. The items are adjusted to different level values. For this, the jog-dial has a capture unit of at least one further level that is kept in a selected or non-selected state.
