PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device which reduces the growth of cracks or the frequency variation of a surface acoustic wave due to the ambient temperature change. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric device 10, a piezoelectric block 1 having a vibration electrode 3c on the underside is disposed on a support board 2 having a plurality of wiring conductors 4a electrically connected to the vibration electrode 3c, and a seal 5 surrounding a forming region of the vibration electrode 3c is inserted between the piezoelectric block 1 and the support board 2. Power is applied to the vibration electrode 3c to generate a surface acoustic wave over the vibration electrode 3c forming region on the piezoelectric block 1 underside.
