A fish finder (10) for finding fish by emitting an ultrasonic wave into water and receiving the echo. The fish finder comprises a transducer (20) having piezoelectric devices (21, 22) for emitting an ultrasonic wave and receiving the echo, shoal identifying means (52) for identifying a shoal of fish on the basis of the received echo, and shoal display means (53) for displaying the identified shoal on the screen of a display (47). The center lines of the directivities of the piezoelectric devices (21, 22) are oriented in mutually different directions in at least one vertical plane, including directions parallel or generally parallel to the water surface in such a way that no dead area is produced in the finding range.
