<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a separator for a cell of a fuel cell capable of reducing an electric resistance value by sufficiently ensuring originally requiring conductivity in the thickness direction of the separator. <P>SOLUTION: A separator block obtained by filling mixed powder of carbon particles and thermosetting resin in a first mold and compression molding is cut in the prescribed width along the compression direction to form a preform separator 26, the preform separator 26 obtained by cutting is arranged in a second mold 29 so that cutting surfaces 26a, 26b become the compression surface, and compressed in the direction crossing to the compression direction in a first compression molding process to form a separator 4. In the separator 4, the major axes of the carbon particles 17 are arranged in the thickness direction of the separator, and the internal resistance is substantially decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
