<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lost article detector and a lost article detection system for detecting the existing position even a user is located out of an area, where light and/or voice can be recognized. <P>SOLUTION: A lost article detector 3 obtains locational information at prescribed time intervals and transmits the locational information to a base station 6 and a server 4 via the Internet 1. In the server 4, the locational information of the mail box corresponding to the ID of the lost article detector 3 on a data base 5 is updated for every reception of the locational information transmitted from the lost article detector 3. When receiving an E-mail from a portable terminal 2 via the Internet 1, the server 4 reads out the locational information stored in the mail box corresponding to the mail address in the data base 5 and combines with map data of the corresponding area, then it is sent back to the portable terminal 2 corresponding to the mail address via the Internet 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
