<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of simply and surely carrying out a desired operation setting by making relationships of each hierarchical layer graspable even when operation setting items are configured by a hierarchical structure. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has the setting items comprising a plurality of hierarchical structures, executes operation processing on the basis of information selected and set from the setting items, and includes: a display means 12-2 for totally displaying a setting item 12a in any of a plurality of layers and a setting item 12b in other layer whose setting is newly available on the basis of information selected and set by the setting item 12a; an information entry means 12-1 for entering the setting information selected from setting items of each layer displayed on the display means 12-2; and a processing means 15 for executing the operation processing on the basis of the setting information entered by the information entry means 12-1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
