PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abrasion and meshing noises of a belt wound around a drive pulley and a driven pulley constituting a power transmission mechanism of an electric motor in a motor power steering device. SOLUTION: In this motor power steering device 10, a rack shaft 14 is linearly movably supported by a gear housing 11, and an electric motor 20 is mounted to the gear housing 11, so that a rotation force of a drive pulley 22 coupled with a rotation shaft 20A of the electric motor 20 is transmitted to the rack shaft 14 via a power transmission mechanism including a driven pulley 36 connected with the drive pulley 22 via a belt 37.
