A gas turbine including a compressor, combustor and turbine further includes ( 1 ) a cooling air system for supplying part of air compressed by a compressor to a high temperature section of the turbine, ( 2 ) a heat exchanger for exchanging heat of part of air compressed by the compressor, this heater being mounted on the cooling air system, and ( 3 ) a system for adjusting the air temperature downstream from the heat exchanger in conformity to the operation period of the turbine.
