The method involves moving a grinding tool (1) with a constant y value in a direction parallel to x-z plane. A symmetry axis of a workpiece (2) is aligned parallel to the z-axis such that the rotation axis of the workpiece is kept away from the x-z plane. The workpiece is moved parallel to x-axis such that an upper surface of the workpiece contacts with a working surface of the grinding tool.
