Quality control method for milk in which a milk sample is examined and the type of any object found is determined using at least an object recognition rule. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (A) a method for identifying objects in milk in which a milk sample is imaged in a measurement surface and identification rules used to differentiate between at least two object types; (B) a quality control device for milk and; (C) a method for provision of a classification database for classification of objects contained in milk.
