PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone master unit and an interphone system to which many kinds of speech terminals are connected without the need for increasing the number of circuit components for speech signal processing. SOLUTION: A speech signal path switching section 32 alternatively switches: a first speech signal path interconnecting a microphone 10, a speaker 11, and a slave unit switching section 12; a second speech signal path interconnecting the microphone 10, the speaker 11, and a speech terminal connection interface section 21; and a third speech signal path interconnecting the slave unit switching section 12 and the speech terminal connection interface section 21. Since a speech signal processing section 33 for processing the speech signal is shared and a DSP 30 realizes the speech signal path switching section 32 and the speech signal processing section 33, many kinds of speech terminals are connected to the interphone master unit while preventing the complicated circuit configuration, increase in the number of components or intrusion of noise attended with the switching of the speech signal paths.
