PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect an optical fiber to an optical connector extremely easily and always smoothly with high precision at any operation site and to greatly reduce the cost. SOLUTION: A jig 10 for optical fiber connection comprises a connector holding member 13 which holds the optical connector 31, a fixation releasing member 15 having projection parts 14a and 14b which are inserted into an insertion hole of the optical connector 31 held by the connector holding member 13 to expand a glass fiber holding hole, a coating holding hole, and a sheath holding hole, and a drawing-out member 16 which draws the projection parts 14a and 14b out of the insertion hole of the optical connector by separating the fixation releasing member 15 from the connector holding member 13.
