PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the strength of a joint part and to prevent the flexibility as a top rod from being reduced when the tip part region of the top rod is formed out of only a superelastic alloy, and the whole top rod is constituted by jointing a rod body made of a fiber-reinforced resin to the rear part of the tip part region. SOLUTION: This top rod is constituted by forming a male screw on the outer periphery of the rear part 10E of a solid member 10 made of the superelastic alloy, sticking a metallic cylindrical member 14 to the inner surface 12A of the tip part of a pipe-shaped member 12 made of the fiber-reinforced resin, and forming a female screw to be screwed on the male screw, on the inner periphery of the metallic cylindrical member 14 so that the male screw of the rear part of the solid member may be joined with the female screw by screwing.
