In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided for clearing the inside of a wellbore (30) including inserting a wellbore clearing system (10) into the wellbore (30). The wellbore clearing system (10) includes an anchor (50) adapted to be positioned within the wellbore (30), an agitator (70) operable to be moved relative to the interior surface of the wellbore 30, and a linkage (60) coupling the agitator (70) to the anchor (50). The method further includes securing the anchor (50) within the wellbore (30) and moving the agitator (70) relative to the interior surface of the wellbore (30). The movement of the agitator (70) is operable to at least partially eliminate a restriction to a flow of minerals or other resources in the wellbore (30).
