PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal oxide carried carbon material structure which maintains a large surface area per unit volume of a metal oxide, and simultaneously is effective as the electrode mixture of an electrode for a storage element having a sufficient contact with a carbon material which is the carrier of the metal oxide. SOLUTION: The metal oxide of a film thickness 50 nm or below, preferably 10 nm, is dispersedly carried on a carbon material, resulting in producing the metal oxide carried carbon material structure.
