PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner and a suction port body for reducing the diffusion of antigenic substances by cleaning work and not easily causing allergic disorders even in the case that the antigenic substances diffuse and are absorbed in a human body. SOLUTION: In the vacuum cleaner provided with a suction port body 1 where a suction port 6 is formed and a cleaner body 2 incorporating a motor-driven blower 10 for sucking air containing dust on a floor surface A from the suction port 6 to the cleaner body 2, an ion supply means for supplying positive and negative ions is provided, and air containing the positive and negative ions generated from the ion supply means is discharged to the floor surface. As the ion supply means, an air discharge route 16 for supplying the air containing the ions, an air supply fan 14 for supplying the air to the route 16 and an ion generator 15 for generating the positive and negative ions in the air supplied by the air supply fan 14 are provided.
