<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a support for sure reproduction by remarkably shortening a delivery time without incurring an artificial error in a step for delivering information for reproduction by automation. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU compares a plurality of recognition information stored in a nonvolatile memory (first storage means) of a device main body with the plurality of recognition information read into a RAM. If they are different as a result of the comparison, it is discriminated that a new unit is mounted, so that a means for controlling the image forming device main body such as the CPU transmits, to a management system, an ID related to manufacture, information required for reproduction, an operational history, and the like of an exchanged unit and an ID related to manufacture of the newly mounted unit.
