<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antioxidant or an antiinflammatory/antiallergic agent, each containing at least one of an extract of Enterospermum madagascariensis, an extract of Incaina stellifera and an extract of Siegesbeckia abyssinica; and to prepare a skin cosmetic containing the agent as an active ingredient. <P>SOLUTION: The antioxidant or the antiinflammatory/antiallergic agent contains at least one kind of the extract of the Enterospermum madagascariensis, the extract of the Incaina stellifera and the extract of the Siegesbeckia abyssinica. The antioxidant or the antiinflammatory/antiallergic agent preferably has at least one selected from an active oxygen-scavenging activity, a radical-scavenging activity, a hyaluronidase-inhibiting activity, a hexosaminidase release-inhibiting activity, a platelet aggregation-inhibiting activity, a prostaglandin E2 production-inhibiting activity and a cyclic AMP (adenosine monophosphate) phosphodiesterase-inhibiting activity.
