PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator provided with a defroster device capable of efficiently defrosting and using a hydrocarbon-base refrigerant and a refrigerator provided with the evaporator. SOLUTION: This defrosting device is provided with a refrigerant pipe 3 and a cooling fin 17 perpendicularly intersecting in a vertical direction. A cooling fin 17 is thermal-conductively contacted with a glass tube coated heater 6 in the region of the cooling fin 17 below the refrigerant pipe 3 of a lower-most part, and thereby heat can be transmitted to the whole evaporator 16 while utilizing ascending thermal flow effect of the glass tube coated heater 6 efficiently, resulting in efficient defrosting.
