PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a U-shaped ditch which reduces the force of flowing water on the external side of the U-shaped ditch even when buried in the inclined ground and the flat ground and hence effectively suppress soil erosion caused by the force of water in soil around the U-shaped ditch. SOLUTION: The U-shaped ditch 6 comprises a reinforced frame 3 mounted on a main body of the U-shaped ditch constituted of receiving parts placed on right and left side walls, respectively, of the main body 7 of the U-shaped ditch and one or a plurality of bridging parts transversely laid between the right and left receiving parts. The reinforced frame 3 is provided with erosion preventing parts 5' which are extended from either its right or left side or both sides thereof to the exterior of the main body of the U-shaped ditch and reduce the force of flowing water.
