An assembly compresses semi-liquid concrete into a brick mold (15) with a twin-mass (9) vibration system (7) with a free-running oscillator (37) coupled by a spring (24). The masses oscillate in opposition. The system uses slightly wet mortar. The mortar brick can be removed immediately from the mold.
