A mobile telephone (30) remote control procedure uses a portable memory unit (1) for remote control by storing a phone number, sending it to the mobile phone followed by a dialling initiation signal with duplex communication (20, 22) after dialling or termination if a call is not established. Independent claims are included for memory and units using the procedure.
