PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of realizing wireless communication employing the MIMO technology with a realistic circuit scale and computing complexity while realizing excellent characteristics. SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus comprises: reception antennas 1-1 to 1-2, wireless sections 2-1 to 2-2, a channel estimate circuit 3, a received signal management section 4; a transfer function matrix management circuit 5; a replica signal generating circuit 6; a transmission signal generating circuit 7; Euclidean distance approximation circuits 8a to 8c; a selection circuit 9; and a data composite circuit 10, and the Euclidean distance approximation circuits 8a to 8c carry out approximation of an Euclidian distance by using only adder circuits.
