PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for setting an optical channel that surely calculates path, in response for an optical channel request band, in an optical transmission network where wavelengths with a plurality of different bands exist. SOLUTION: The optical channel setting method generates topology information from a link information list comprising link information for describing information of links in the optical transmission network where wavelengths with a plurality of different bands exist, so as to calculate paths of the optical channel set by using the topological information, collects the link information including information of a link band as the link information, generates the link information list for describing the link information from the link information including band information, generates the topological information by the band from the link information list for describing the link information, and uses a setting path of the optical channel according to the band of the set optical channel by using the band dependent topology information. |
