FIELD: textile and light industry, in particular, equipment for obtaining of restricted number of pleats in pleat making machines. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has material pressing device made in the form of rods arranged in fan-like manner in spaces between inclined guides and fixed on vertical plank rotationally disposed on base. Pleat forming device is arranged upstream of vertical plank in the course of movement of material and comprises several pairs of L-shaped guides cooperating with each other and fixed on base and on horizontal plate. Horizontal plate is positioned detachably and base is positioned for displacement relative to thermal fixation device. ^ EFFECT: simplified material charging system and increased efficiency. ^ 3 dwg
