A toy for a pet animal comprises a resilient material 1 which encloses a battery power source 9, a switch control circuit 8 and a plurality of lights 6 mounted in at least one band 5. The lights are adapted to flash in a repeating fashion. The toy can be formed as a simple ball with one or more bands of light mounted in its surface, and the ball may be attached to one end of a rope or strap 2, the other end of which is provided with a handle 3 or toggle. The ball can be formed as two halves which can be coupled or uncoupled to give access to the switch and/or battery, alternatively the switch and/or battery may be housed in an opening 7 behind a removable cover 10. The toy can be used for throwing, chasing or for tug of war. |
