The roof has a front unit (3) connected to a rear central unit (4). Front and rear parts (12, 13) of lateral units (11) are associated to the units (3, 4), respectively. Sector gears (15, 16), a cam pin (21) and a rail (22) constitute two driving units that are associated to respective units (3, 4). The driving units permit disengagement of the units (11) towards front of a vehicle, when the units (3, 4) are folded inside the trunk.
