Catch device for a climbing safety system

The catch device has a housing (4) with a swivel mounted locking bolt (8). When the bolt is locked the housing is arrested in the guide rail (3). With a first stress on the bolt the bolt is pivoted into an unlocked position where the housing can be moved in the rail. With a second additional stress on the bolt in the unlocked position a security bolt can be swivelled out by which the housing is stopped in the guide rail. The locking bolt is connected to a harness (6) for a person through a connecting element (9) whereby the stresses on the bolt are produced through the connecting element.
