The compressor (14), condenser (6) and evaporator (8) form a refrigeration circuit with an expansion valve (12). The condenser pressure is monitored by a sensor (19) and the evaporator temperature by a sensor (16) which feed a high pressure controller (24) and limiter (28) and a temperature control unit (18,20). The values are compared to reference values (SW(VT)) and (SW(HD)) to regulate the compressor through a control unit (22) and a pulse width modulator (32).
