The fastener has a strip and a buckle type clip (4) or eyelet, that are integrated in two recesses (10) formed on two lateral sides of a shoe, respectively. The recesses are formed by filing, hollowing or removing materials from the respective sides, so that the fastener is at the level of surface of the sides after folding back the strip passed in the clip or eyelet when it is in a fastening position. An independent claim is also included for an application of a device for fastening a shoe, a garment, a bag or a leather article.
