A direct-current arc furnace composed of a boiler covered with a vault and a shaft located over it. In the upper part of the boiler, there are negative electrodes, and in the bottom part, there is a tank fitted with a positive furnace hearth electrode and the bottom outlet to release metal. It is characterised in that an induction coil (7) is placed around the bottom part of the shaft (3). |
