<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out glass welding even at the terminal part of an EL substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing substrate 12 is disposed face to face on the EL substrate 10 at a prescribed interval. The sealing substrate 12 is made opaque. The laser beam irradiating region of the terminal part 16 of the EL substrate 10 is formed by a transparent conductor such as an ITO. Thereby, if laser is irradiated to the peripheral region of the sealing substrate 12 through the EL substrate 10 and this portion is heated, glass rises to be welded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
