<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial method for producing a sulfonic acid derivative of hydroxamic acid having characteristics of high yield, excellent operation efficiency, high optical purity of the resultant derivative, etc., and its salt. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the sulfonic acid derivative of the hydroxamic acid comprises subjecting a hydroxamic acid derivative of succinic acid and an aminosulfonic acid derivative to a mixed acid anhydride method in the presence of an organic base. The method is characterized by using anα-polyalkyl-substituted carboxylic acid halide. A method for purifying 4-methyl-2(R)-ä2-phthalimido-1(R)-[(tetrahydropyran-2-yl)oxycarbamoyl]ethyl}pentanoic acid or its optical isomer, etc., is provided. A method for producing 5-methyl-3(R)-ä1(S)-methylcarbamoyl-2-[4-(3-sulfopropoxy)phenyl]ethylcarbamoyl}-2(R)-phthalimidomethylhexanohydroxamic acid or its optical isomer using the method is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
