<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell in which power generation can be continued by using a normal power generation cell even when a failure occurs to either one of the power generation cells and extreme deterioration of power generating performance can be suppressed as the whole fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: This is the solid oxide fuel cell 1 which is provided with a plurality of serially connected power generation cells 7, supplies fuel gas and oxidizer gas to each of those power generation cells 7 to make it cause power generation reaction.
