NYLON COMPOSITE CLAY FILM AND ITS PRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite clay thin film where nylon is dispersed homogeneously in a clay thin film whose main component is a natural clay or a synthetic clay with the uniform orientation of clay particles, having mechanical strength usable as a self-supporting film and having an excellent flexibility and to provide its producing method. SOLUTION: A homogeneous clay dispersion liquid is prepared by the dispersion of a nylon monomer and a clay in water or a liquid being a dispersion medium whose main component is water and is left quietly for precipitating the clay particles. The liquid being the dispersion medium is separated by a solid-liquid separation means for forming a film and moreover the nylon monomer is polymerized by thermal processing. A nylon clay composite self-supporting film where nylon is distributed homogeneously in the clay thin film with the highly oriented multi-layer of the clay particles, its producing method and a product using it are provided.
