[PROBLEMS] To provide an electronic endoscope capable of reducing the noise of an imaging signal transmitted from the electronic endoscope and an endoscope system using the same. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The electronic endoscope (1) includes: a solid-state imaging element (12); an A/D converter (30) for converting an analog imaging signal from the solid-state imaging element (12) into a digital signal; and a parallel/serial converter (32) for serial-converting the digital signal parallel-inputted from the A/D converter. Since the electronic endoscope (1) transmits an imaging signal which has been converted into a digital signal, it is possible to reduce the noise as compared to the conventional analog signal even when the length of a cable (58) is increased.
