<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen gas utilizing method using an aromatic compound as a hydrogen storage/transport medium, wherein hydrogen is efficiently utilized by improving the efficiency of hydrogenating reaction and dehydrogenating reaction. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen gas utilizing method comprises reacting hydrogen containing gas with the aromatic compound in one hydrogenating reactor under the existence of a catalyst to make hydrogen reacted with and stored in the aromatic compound into a hydrogenated aromatic compound, and then giving dehydrogenating reaction to the hydrogenated aromatic compound in a dehydrogenating reactor to obtain hydrogen gas.
