PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply, quickly and surely attach a transparent manuscript, in an image reading apparatus capable of reading a reflective manuscript and the transparent manuscript. SOLUTION: A film holder 61 for holding a transparent manuscript is turnably provided to the left and to the right, centered on axes 61a and 61b.
