PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and excellently long-active hair connecting tool with which own hair and extension hair are surely connected to each other in a simple operation: and to provide a hair-connecting method. SOLUTION: The hair connecting tool 1 connects own hair to extension hair, and has the following structure: at least the inner peripheral surface 2A of a connecting tool main body 2 made of plastic deformation material and formed into a nearly cylindrical shape is coated with a resilient member 3; and a space 4 surrounded with the resilient member 3 is formed so as to have a size allowing both of the own hair and the extension hair to pass through. By the hair connecting tool 1, both of the own hair and the extension hair are passed through the space 4 surrounded with the resilient member 3, and thereafter, the connecting tool main body 2 is caulked in a radial direction so that the own hair and the extension hair are integrally caught between the resilient members 3, 3.
