PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column support device of a wooden building endurable against a large shock such as an earthquake, by firmly supporting a column, without reducing the cross-sectional area of a joining part of the column, by embedding and fixing a lower end part of the column in and to a foundation via a metallic cylindrical body. SOLUTION: This column support device is provided with the metallic cylindrical body 30 blocking up a bottom surface and loosely fitted with the column 25. A lower end part peripheral surface of the wooden column 25 is surrounded by a doubling plate 26, and a lower end part of the column 25 is fitted to the cylindrical body 30 via the doubling plate 26. A recessed part 20 loosely fitted with the cylindrical body 30 is formed in a part of the concrete foundation 16. The cylindrical body 30 is fitted to the recessed part 20, and the cylindrical body 30 is risen and fixed on the bottom surface of the recessed part 20. The cylindrical body 30 is integrally fixed to the foundation 16 by fitting a filler in a clearance part between the recessed part 20 and the cylindrical body 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
