PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a seat slide device capable of reducing variation in sliding resistance of an upper rail and also capable of improving a sliding feeling at the upper rail. SOLUTION: A sectional shape of an upper rail 103 has a first suspended portion 207 and a second suspended portion 209 bent downward at both ends of a base part 205. Further, it has a first side wall 211 and a second side wall 213 bent outward from the lower ends of these suspended portions 207, 209 and raised up without being contacted with the suspended portions 207, 209. In turn, a sectional shape of a lower rail 101 has a third side wall 313 and a fourth side wall 315 bent upward at both ends of a base part 311 and oppositely faced against each of the first side wall 211 and the second side wall 213 of the upper rail 103.
