The island of pneumatic units consists of several adjacent distribution units held in series against each other along parallel faces and between two end units (1,6) by assembly means (7) passing through the units. The assembly means comprise for each distribution unit a single rod (8) with a first threaded end (8a) and a second tapped end (8b). The tapped end is shaped in a head which is housed in a housing (12) in order to rotationally lock each rod relative to the unit when it is in service.
