<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal computer capable of restoring a normal mode from a power saving mode in which power consumption is suppressed by detecting the operation of a stick type coordinate input device. <P>SOLUTION: Since a pointer 16 is provided with a depression sensor 27 which is an input device through an I/O 35, an operation signal can be outputted from the depression sensor 27 to a CPU 31 by depressing an operation knob instead of distortion sensors 25a-25d by which an operation signal can not be outputted from a detection circuit 39 to the CPU 31 due to the stop of a clock oscillator 33 in a stop mode. Consequently restoration even from the stop mode in which the clock oscillator 33 is stopped to the normal operation mode which is difficult in a conventional method can be attained by operating the pointer 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
