<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actuate one or more elements of a safe restraint system on the basis of the input from a system such as a navigation system or a vehicle monitoring system. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a safe restraint element connected with a navigation module, which is adjusted so as to judge the vehicle position, and the element is adjusted so as to be actuated in accordance with the judged position of the vehicle. Thereby the safe restraint element can serve as a pretensioner for a safety belt, and may be adjusted to be actuated when the navigation module has judged that the vehicle has intruded into or approaches the area to meet the predetermined reference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
