PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic conveyor capable of gripping objects with a proper holding force even if the sizes of the objects (for example, PET bottles) held by a gripper are different from one another. SOLUTION: In this automatic conveyor, a pair of grip arms are pivotally supported rotatably on a carrying wheel at equal pitches so as to be moved close to and separated from each other symmetrically in the lateral direction. A rotating force is transmitted from the drive shaft side of a grip control to the rotating shaft of the grip arms through a friction transmission member. A cam follower formed on the drive shaft is guided by a cam installed on a cam, and the drive shaft is reciprocatingly rotated by the rotation of the carrying wheel to rotate the rotating shaft of the grip arms. Since a rotating force is transmitted to the rotating shaft, an adjusting means for adjusting the contact pressure of the friction transmission member on a transmission wheel installed on the drive shaft is installed on the drive shaft through a spring member.
