PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule type medical device capable of stabilizing an advancing direction inside a testee body. SOLUTION: In the form of housing an internal constituting body inside an airtight container 7, a centroid position is arranged on the side of the tip cover 71 of the airtight container 7 by a weight means (battery 51). Thus, when introducing a capsule type endoscope 1 into the testee body, the side of the tip cover 7 is easily turned in the advancing direction accompanying a peristaltic motion inside the testee body. As a result, the advancing direction of the airtight container 7 inside the testee body is stabilized and the airtight container 7 is easily advanced smoothly inside the testee body. When the airtight container 7 is smoothly advanced inside the testee body, since the time for detecting information inside the testee body becomes short as well, the required capacity of the battery 51 for supplying driving power to an internal constituting body is suppressed.
