OUTPUT CORRECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, PROGRAM THEREOF, AND RECORDING MEDIUM WITH PROGRAM RECORDED THEREIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output correction method capable of reducing a time required for calibration of a printer and of relieving the load imposed on an operator.

SOLUTION: The output correction method generates first color chart information wherein a color specification value of each color of a first color chart and a signal value of each color of the first color chart are cross-referenced, and generates second color chart information wherein a signal value of each color of a second color chart and its color specification value are cross-referenced on the basis of the first color chart information and the signal value of each color of the second color chart obtained by reading the second color chart printed by the printer 3 by means of a scanner 4. Then the method corrects printer output reference information on the basis of printer output reference information and the signal value of the color in the second color chart information and each error of the color specification value.
