A carton, as shown Fig. 7, has an inner front wall 6 and inner side walls 8, 9 formed from a part of the box blank that is folded down and secured to the inner side of the front and side walls, as shown in Fig. 3, leaving an upstanding part 26 which forms part of the lid. The blank is scored at 29, 32, 50. The carton comprises front and rear walls 1, 2 side walls 3, 4 and a securing tab 5. The lid is formed from portions 7, 26, 33, 34 and when first opened perforations 28 forming a seal are broken. Flaps 10-13 close the lower end of the carton. The carton is secured in its erected state by glue areas 22-25. In a modification, end flaps extending from walls 3, 4 above a line 20 provide a more air-tight lid. |
