PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication apparatus with which the capacity of a storage device attached to a communication apparatus can be efficiently utilized by allowing another communication apparatus or anther computer to receive the content received by the storage device of a communication apparatus. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus for performing facsimile transmission via a telephone line is provided with a memory 16 capable of storing a received image and information added thereto about a received time and a transmitter. The communication apparatus is provided with a function of transmitting the received images and additional information stored in the memory 16 to an external communication apparatus and a computer via the telephone line or a communication network, and has an advantage in which the content stored in the memory 16 added to the communication apparatus may be selectively erased to efficiently utilize the capacity of the memory 16.
